4 intentions for letting go of perfectionism.

  1. accept my imperfections

  2. let go of judgment of myself and others

  3. acknowledge myself for my efforts

  4. release the story of right and wrong

This year I am letting go of the need to be perfect.

One of the greatest lessons from 2022, was truly seeing how much of a perfectionist I am. It shows up when I write songs and put pressure on myself to make the next best thing. It shows up in the need to complete assignments without flaws on the first try. It shows up in relationships when I try to prove myself to others.

The pressure I put on myself to show up in a certain way is no longer serving me. It takes too much energy and I lose sight of the joy of my creative outlets, and the joy of experiencing life.

Perfectionism stops me from being in my flow.

This year I set the intention to come back to these reminders and be kind to myself. When things get too serious, I will take a step back and allow myself to make crap.

I am human. There is no such thing as perfect, just how I do or don’t show up. Simple as that.

What are you letting go of and welcoming in for 2023?
